A word from Head of School, Rone Walker:
We have an AWESOME faculty and staff! Groups of teachers came in today and we had the BEST conversations and planning times. The main take away for me was that we all MISS OUR LEE STUDENTS!!!
Parents and students, you may notice that teachers are creating Google classrooms and assignments, your child may be receiving messages to join a class or various other things. Please allow them to accept these requests. We are using some great tools to teach your children from a distance. **VERY IMPORTANT** distance learning does not begin before Tuesday, March 24, 2020. No assignments are due now or over the weekend. DO NOT PANIC!!
We know that your children have books and other materials in their lockers. We are having a "Lee Drive Thru" on Monday, March 23, 2020. Below is the schedule for pick up on Monday. Please understand that if you are a working parent and you can't pick up books at your designated time, please send me an email and we will make arrangements for you! We understand you are working and we will accommodate around your work schedules.
Steps for pick up:
- Please bring your student's backpack. We will load everything they will need.
- Please form a line (like drop off and pick up) we will take the bag, load it, and return it to your car. If you have questions you are welcome to ask at this time and we will do our best to answer them.
- Do not get out of your car for any reason, if we did not get an item you need we are more than happy to run back to the classroom or locker to get all items your students will need!
- Please be patient, there may be a short wait time in your car before it is your turn. We have never done this before, so we are not sure how things will go!
- If you are comfortable with your student riding with you, I would love to give them a wave and see their face!! :)
Times for pick up Monday, March 23, 2020:
- 7th Grade - 7:45 - 9:00 am
- 8th Grade - 9:00 - 10:15 am
- 9th Grade - 10:15 - 11:30 am
- 10th Grade - 11:30 - 12:45
- 11th Grade - 12:45 - 2:00
- 12th Grade - 2:00 - 3:15
If you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out. I will be in the office tomorrow beginning at 9:30. I have a conference call tonight at 6:00 with the MAIS, I hope to have more information for you.
